Commission to Solomon Wills, 1758 March 27.

Wills (also spelled Wyllys) was appointed by Thomas Fitch to the rank of ensign in the 12th Company in a Regiment of Foot, raised in the colony for "invading Canada, and carrying War into the Heart of the Enemies Possessions." Wills was to serve under Colonel Phineas Lyman. The commission was executed in Norwalk, Connecticut.
